“God allows us to experience the low points of life in order to teach us lessons we could not learn in any other way. The way we learn those lessons is not to deny the feelings but to find the meanings underlying them.”

—Stanley Lindquist (via pretty-in-pearls)

“If you travel towards a destination, it’s important to observe the path. The path teaches you the best way to reach your destination, and it enriches you while you travel it. It’s the same with a goal in life. That too, can get better or worse depending on how you choose to travel the path.”

—Paulo Coelho (via zenhabits) (via inspiri)

“When the Japanese mend broken objects, they aggrandize the damage by filling the cracks with gold. They believe that when something’s suffered damage and has a history, it becomes more beautiful.”

—Barbara Bloom (via littlemiss)

Just a little something...

So I really hate/despise/loathe it when teachers put materials or questions on exams that we never covered. Yes, I understand that I should be able to solve said questions by applying my knowledge on the subject… But it typically doesn’t work like that. Just because I understand the principles, general ideas, and logic behind the problem does not mean that I will magically be able to use that in a situation that has never been put in front of me before. Because, you see, there’s this thing called panic..Nerves..They make people react differently when they are under stress. For instance, stress that I believe most people feel when getting ready to take a test. That stress already makes me nervous that I am doing problems wrong that I KNOW how to do. Throw in a couple, and by a couple I mean almost a whole test’s worth, of problems that I’ve basically never seen before, and yeah, I’m pretty much screwed.

Fuck you, professor, for making up a shitty test that was not like any of your lessons or even the practice test.

I’m sure high school physics is NO WHERE near college physics, but I felt like that (in proportion to the course though)…and that was tough enough. Damn girl, I’m sorry. I wish you the best for the rest of the semester! I know you can do it!

whenever I listened to this song (previously posted here), I always wondered how they did it…and now I know. :) they look so happy…
